If Juliusz Kapera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Gentza in the 39th minute of play forced wolfsburgo HC's goalkeeper Celso Silban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes wolfsburgo HC got a freekick which was hit by Americo Manny. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 53 played minutes Ramblón got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Edorta. Ernesto Gonza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in wolfsburgo HC's zone, Cecilio Gentza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Silban came out of the goal and Cecilio Gentza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernesto Beltxe kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Ramblón defense, Nicolas Platon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Timoteo Baumer. The Ramblón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Timoteo Baumer should have stopped the shot. Timoteo Baumer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Valery in the 70th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Teofilo Valery had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Timoteo Baumer. Ramblón's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teofilo Valery was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Teofilo Valery kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes Ramblón got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Edorta. A collision led to Ramblón getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ernesto Beltxe hit a great ball. Timoteo Baumer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Platon, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Hernan Shantala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ramblón's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Shantala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Silban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramblón's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
