The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 9 minutes, Modesto Malvin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter MIAMI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Modesto Malvin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gavino Orzaize didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto Rafe went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Gavino Orzaize took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Malvin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Candido Matai scored to the left of an out of position Gavino Orzaize, making the score, 3-0. Gavino Orzaize made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horacio Guillerme in the 22nd minute. 27 minutes into the match, Roberto Rafe notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Matador's Gavino Orzaize. Gavino Orzaize was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Matador defense, Horacio Guillerme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gavino Orzaize. The Matador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavino Orzaize should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Rafe in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavino Orzaize prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gavino Orzaize made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Matai in the 38th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Matador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Maiorga to maneuver through the defense. Gavino Orzaize was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Horacio Guillerme showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 8-0 in the 39 minute of play. Horacio Guillerme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Gavino Orzaize made a huge save. Roberto Rafe let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 44th minute shot 9-0 at rihgt post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Matai in the 48th minute of play forced Matador's goalkeeper Gavino Orzaize to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 9-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeronimo Paio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes of play, Inter MIAMI's Roberto Rafe made it 11-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gavino Orzaize was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gavino Orzaize made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Guillerme in the 60th minute of play. Gavino Orzaize showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Guillerme in the 62nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Matador defense, Candido Matai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gavino Orzaize. Matador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Quentin Sulser was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 16-0.
