When Humberto Matos came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Gowlan AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Matos couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the game, Gowlan AFC's Humberto Matos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reynaldo Formerio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Desiderio Herena fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fumasche's protests and gave Desiderio Herena a yellow card for diving instead. Humberto Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Reynaldo Formerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alcides López fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gowlan AFC's protests and gave Alcides López a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gowlan AFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Alcides López hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Humberto Matos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Agustin Argoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Balasi in the 22nd minute of play. Humberto Matos might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reynaldo Formerio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Humberto Matos ran back to his position shaking his head. 23 minutes into the match, Fumasche's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Matos came free, but Reynaldo Formerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Vladimiro Cresconio fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fumasche's protests and gave Vladimiro Cresconio a yellow card for diving instead. Vladimiro Cresconio hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Reynaldo Formerio came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gowlan AFC's Humberto Matos. But to his dismay, Humberto Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roberto Balasi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Haldriis charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Haldriis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gowlan AFC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ricardo Haldriis hit a great ball. In the 55th minute Roberto Balasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Argoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reynaldo Formerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Gumaro in the 61st minute of the match. The supporters of Gowlan AFC booed when Fumasche was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Corderall didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute Samuel Lando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Argoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustin Argoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Lando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 67th minute of the match Vladimiro Cresconio completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vladimiro Cresconio a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 68th match minute, Fumasche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimiro Cresconio to maneuver through the defense. After 69 minutes, Edelmiro Corderall mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fumasche and the Gowlan AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gowlan AFC booed when Fumasche was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Corderall didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Samuel Lando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gowlan AFC's Agustin Argoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Xabier in the 74th minute of play. After 77 played minutes, Fumasche's Augusto Santxol shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Agustin Argoitz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fumasche reached it. After a rather tough play, Fumasche's Edelmiro Corderall got a free kick in the 80th minute. Humberto Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alcides López hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Gowlan AFC's Agustin Argoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Corderall in the 88th minute of play. If Humberto Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Samuel Lando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Argoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Fumasche's zone, Humberto Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Formerio came out of the goal and Humberto Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Gumaro's late challenge caught a Fumasche's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Gumaro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gowlan AFC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Manuel Gumaro hit a great ball. Gowlan AFC played a much better game than Fumasche and deserved their victory. The Fumasche players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
