The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 11 minutes into the match, Yala's goal looked a bit too open when Patryk Dubilas came free, but Zeledon Curcio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Pelayo Silva made a precise shot to the right of Zeledon Curcio. Yala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 24th match minute, Lengua de Lobo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Felipo to maneuver through the defense. Edgardo Patxi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Valentine in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute Patryk Dubilas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Curcio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Yala's goal looked a bit too open when Patryk Dubilas came free, but Zeledon Curcio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niki Bundev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Edgardo Patxi made a huge save. Yala's Zeledon Curcio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patryk Dubilas in the 34th minute of play. Zeledon Curcio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patryk Dubilas, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Zeledon Curcio came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Lengua de Lobo's Patryk Dubilas. But to his dismay, Patryk Dubilas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Generoso Pinto hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Zeledon Curcio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patryk Dubilas in the 46th minute of the match. The supporters of Yala booed when Lengua de Lobo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Azibar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lengua de Lobo's Edgardo Patxi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Frans in the 49th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Freddy Valentine made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Yala's goal looked a bit too open when Tristan Baldwin came free, but Zeledon Curcio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zeledon Curcio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patryk Dubilas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 played minutes Yala got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Claude. Lengua de Lobo's Blas Herauso was substituted for Severino Azibar. After 77 minutes, Jaime Nayely mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lengua de Lobo and the Yala players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jaime Nayely hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Zeledon Curcio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patryk Dubilas in the 82nd minute of the match. Zeledon Curcio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tristan Baldwin in the 83rd minute of play. Santiago Feo struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Edgardo Patxi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yala. Freddy Claude charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Freddy Claude the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Freddy Claude hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niki Bundev in the 89th minute of play forced Lengua de Lobo's goalkeeper Edgardo Patxi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patryk Dubilas got free with Zeledon Curcio in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zeledon Curcio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aldo Felipo went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Lengua de Lobo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
