Spectators: 7651 (Terracing: 5740, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valentin Rencio started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Coghlan's Dario Mitxaut sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herminio Donzel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Mitxaut in the 8th minute of play forced Carioca FC's goalkeeper Herminio Donzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atlético Coghlan's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paulino Avellaneda in the 10th minute. Jimeno Katia was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Dario Mitxaut scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herminio Donzel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15th minute, Alexandre Bentes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, Cornelio Ascencio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herminio Donzel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Herminio Donzel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cornelio Ascencio went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Herminio Donzel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jimeno Katia went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Victor Lluc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateo Laffitte, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 38th match minute, Carioca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Rencio to maneuver through the defense. Dario Mitxaut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Herminio Donzel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herminio Donzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Ascencio in the 41st minute of play. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carioca FC! After the first half Club Atlético Coghlan were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dario Mitxaut to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Coghlan's Wilfredo Henry got a free kick in the 55th minute. Hermengildo Gizon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Victor Lluc. Club Atlético Coghlan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Herminio Donzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Ascencio in the 57th minute of play. With a little luck, Carioca FC's Herminio Donzel got control of the ball when Dario Mitxaut tried to sneak it across the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Mateo Laffitte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carioca FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Coghlan the free kick. In the 62nd minute, Mateo Laffitte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Lluc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Franco in the 68th minute of the match. After 69 minutes Club Atlético Coghlan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hermengildo Gizon who took care of the corner kick. Fausto Rojelio was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Dario Mitxaut kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Victor Lluc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Franco in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Carioca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Gar to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Cornelio Ascencio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Herminio Donzel, passed just outside the right post. 85 minutes into the match, Cornelio Ascencio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Herminio Donzel, 0-6. The supporters of Carioca FC booed when Club Atlético Coghlan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Avellaneda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlético Coghlan's Victor Lluc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Laffitte in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Guto de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cornelio Ascencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
