In the 4th minute of the game Jimeno Fonso made a throw-in which Arturo Inocente played forward. Shi Qian Peng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Piarres having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, German Senen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castelar F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Unión the free kick. After a rather tough play, Castelar F.C.'s German Senen got a free kick in the 8th minute. Shi Qian Peng received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arnulfo Piarres came out and tried to block the shot, but Shi Qian Peng slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. A collision led to Castelar F.C. getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jimeno Fonso hit a great ball. Alex Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conrado de Toledo scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnulfo Piarres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Shi Qian Peng recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Qian Peng in the 27th minute of play forced Castelar F.C.'s goalkeeper Arnulfo Piarres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute of the match, Shi Qian Peng tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnulfo Piarres saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Qian Peng in the 31st minute of play forced Castelar F.C.'s goalkeeper Arnulfo Piarres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Shi Qian Peng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Castelar F.C. defense, Shi Qian Peng kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnulfo Piarres. The Castelar F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnulfo Piarres should have stopped the shot. 39 minutes in the game Jimeno Fonso did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Romeo Abar. After a rather tough play, Castelar F.C.'s Jimeno Fonso got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 48 minutes of play Castelar F.C.'s Jimeno Fonso was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 49 played minutes Castelar F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jimeno Fonso. German Senen was shown his second yellow card after 50 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Club Atlético Unión's Victorino Cristofor couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 51st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Castelar F.C..

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arturo Inocente was the one to do the kick off. Castelar F.C.'s Arnulfo Piarres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shi Qian Peng in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Castelar F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Victorino Cristofor was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Unión's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Club Atlético Unión booed when Castelar F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Abar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shi Qian Peng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the game, Conrado de Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Unión's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castelar F.C. the free kick. Club Atlético Unión's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Victorino Cristofor in the 67th minute. Club Atlético Unión's Victorino Cristofor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnulfo Piarres in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Arnulfo Piarres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shi Qian Peng, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Shi Qian Peng might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnulfo Piarres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Shi Qian Peng ran back to his position shaking his head. 74 minutes into the match, Castelar F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Shi Qian Peng came free, but Arnulfo Piarres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 minutes, Isidro Paz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Unión and the Castelar F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Club Atlético Unión was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidro Paz to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Unión's Emanuel Chus got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Club Atlético Unión's Gualterio Gutxi got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shi Qian Peng in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnulfo Piarres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 98th minute, Shi Qian Peng left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético Unión fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Shi Qian Peng took the ball and in the 101 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnulfo Piarres. Arnulfo Piarres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Club Atlético Unión fans cheered their team off the field, for while Castelar F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
