In the 17th match minute, Stellenbosch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Odysseas Katramados to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of SEXO DROGA Y ROCK & ROLL booed when Stellenbosch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odysseas Katramados didn't get a good kick on the ball. SEXO DROGA Y ROCK & ROLL's Jailson Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severo Mingo in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, SEXO DROGA Y ROCK & ROLL's goal looked a bit too open when Flóki Cabezudo came free, but Jailson Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stellenbosch's Odysseas Katramados quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cecilio Ursino, made in the 23rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Flóki Cabezudo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stellenbosch's supporters rose to their feet, but Flóki Cabezudo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jailson Brodel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 32 minutes on the clock, Odysseas Katramados commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Stellenbosch fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 33 minutes, SEXO DROGA Y ROCK & ROLL's Facundo Segundo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Pedro Pelayo. 36 minutes into the match, SEXO DROGA Y ROCK & ROLL's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Mingo came free, but Jailson Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jailson Brodel came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Stellenbosch's Flóki Cabezudo. But to his dismay, Flóki Cabezudo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to SEXO DROGA Y ROCK & ROLL getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ziya Sümre hit a great ball. In the 46th match minute, Stellenbosch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Fernando Quinteros to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Stellenbosch's zone, Lucio Primo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Pelayo came out of the goal and Lucio Primo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SEXO DROGA Y ROCK & ROLL's Tomasz Gniewek was substituted for Avior Gideon. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Flóki Cabezudo made the kick off in the second half. Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ziya Sümre in the 55th minute of play. Pedro Pelayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomil Kapera, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomasz Gniewek in the 59th minute of play forced Stellenbosch's goalkeeper Pedro Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Pelayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Ospetsu in the 61st minute of play.
