Mataderos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dario Iztal ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Argentinean Patriots 1816's corner Dario Iztal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Angel Barrionuevo quite easily take care of the ball. Arnaldo Artal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidoro Rio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Mataderos were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Argentinean Patriots 1816's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arnaldo Artal took the corner. Argentinean Patriots 1816's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
