After a rather tough play, Gunners's Placido Benet got a free kick in the 8th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Chanilao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Bide came free, but Cristobal Amor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ruperto Bide's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristobal Amor was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when German Corderro got free with Cipriano Urbasa in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severino Aguirre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gunners's Cipriano Urbasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Aguirre in the 52nd minute of play. Cristobal Amor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muhittin Tuyuğ, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Ruperto Bide who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Cristobal Amor when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruperto Bide got free with Cristobal Amor in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 65 played minutes Chanilao FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Magdaleno. Chanilao FC's Marco Jorrin was substituted for Severino Aguirre. Fernando Magdaleno hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Gunners's Ruperto Bide slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristobal Amor. That made the score 0-2 after 68 minutes of play. German Bertol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Urbasa having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gunners's Giorgos Kretsos got a free kick in the 81st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ildefonso Kismi during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th minute, Ildefonso Kismi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruperto Bide made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 89thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Cristobal Amor would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. After some careless play in the Chanilao FC defense, Ruperto Bide kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristobal Amor. The Chanilao FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristobal Amor should have stopped the shot. The Chanilao FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gunners's performance. The match ended with a win for Gunners.
