With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabian Emeterio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30thth minute of the game Basilio Fagondo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club A Independiente's Silvestre Fidencio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vilo Futbol Club's attentive Hugo Gonzáles managed to snatch the ball when Samuel Francis made a throw-in in the 34th minute of the game. In the 60th minute, Concetto Guarrera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Basilio Fagondo came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Vilo Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basilio Fagondo couldn't finish the play. Club A Independiente's Silvestre Fidencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basilio Fagondo in the 69th minute of play. The Club A Independiente supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Vilo Futbol Club's performance. The match ended with a win for Vilo Futbol Club.
