An unexpectedly hard shot by Silverio Mitxaut in the 7th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Alfonso Froylan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Lordi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnulfo Matai in the 8th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baltasar Remicio during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Villa Lourdes FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Baltasar Remicio hit a great ball. Alfonso Froylan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Valiente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Villa Lourdes FC booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matijs Van Impe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute, Paulino Valiente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

But to his dismay, Matijs Van Impe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Fabio Lordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Domeka in the 64th minute of play. Villa Lourdes FC's Fabio Lordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Domeka in the 66th minute of play. In the 69th minute of the match Villa Lourdes FC got a corner. Boca Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rosendo Berto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rosendo Berto made a great header on Villa Lourdes FC's corner, it was just that Boca Juniors's Alfonso Froylan managed to reach the ball for a save. Evaristo Rameriz hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Villa Lourdes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Atilano Medero came free, but Fabio Lordi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Villa Lourdes FC defense, Atilano Medero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Lordi. The Villa Lourdes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Lordi should have stopped the shot. Villa Lourdes FC's Nicasio Erauso was substituted for Albino Mikelar. Villa Lourdes FC made a substitution. Nicanor Lluterio replaced Mauro Walme. In the 77th minute Atilano Medero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Lordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
