Spectators: 7726 (Terracing: 5807, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) Ildefonso Erlantz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Urbano Oto. El Talar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Racing Club's Diego Laurentzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmiro Jerardo in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Petri to maneuver through the defense. Diego Laurentzi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lázaro Jatsu. The supporters of Racing Club booed when El Talar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iacob Simionescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Anier Eutor notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of El Talar's Urbano Oto. Urbano Oto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 27 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goalkeeper Diego Laurentzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delmiro Jerardo. Juninho Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Laurentzi having to interfere. Diego Laurentzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severo Aires in the 32nd minute. Urbano Oto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Marin in the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goalkeeper Diego Laurentzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Kepa. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Kepa got free with Diego Laurentzi in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes into the game, Geronimo Ioritz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Diego Laurentzi. Geronimo Ioritz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 38 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Ioritz came free, but Diego Laurentzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Santos. 46 minutes into the game, El Talar's Geronimo Ioritz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diego Laurentzi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Kepa was the one to do the kick off. Diego Laurentzi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Kepa went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Eutor in the 62nd minute of play forced El Talar's goalkeeper Urbano Oto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Laurentzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmiro Jerardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Juninho Guimarães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Laurentzi came out of the goal and Juninho Guimarães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. El Talar made a substitution. Herminio Guillen replaced Delmiro Jerardo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Guillen in the 71st minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Diego Laurentzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbano Oto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Malvin in the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th minute of the match Racing Club got a corner. El Talar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ildefonso Erlantz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Diego Laurentzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Ioritz in the 80th minute of play. In the 81stth minute of the game Herminio Guillen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Diego Laurentzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. El Talar's Fulgencio Eleazar got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Kepa in the 84th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Diego Laurentzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Kepa took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diego Laurentzi. Diego Laurentzi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. 96 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Guillen came free, but Diego Laurentzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. El Talar had won after a very even match.
