The Fran Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angel Ramone should have stopped the shot. Angel Ramone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdis Skalbergs got free with Roque Dorio in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the match, Fran Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Montel came free, but Angel Ramone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valdis Skalbergs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Cachilo FC getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Teodosio Criston hit a great ball. Marcelino Arano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Goiz in the 60th minute of play forced Fran Juniors's goalkeeper Angel Ramone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roque Dorio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdis Skalbergs in the 66th minute of the match. Roque Dorio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Cachilo FC played a much better game than Fran Juniors and deserved their victory. The Fran Juniors players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
