After 11 minutes of play, Deportivo Kadorna's Melchor Tome made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sabahattin Erten was left in no man's land by his defense there! 17 minutes into the match, United's goalkeeper Sabahattin Erten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Melchor Tome. Joel Cristofor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Bela in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Melchor Tome who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but United's Sabahattin Erten was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Deportivo Kadorna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Horacio Petrigai in the 22nd minute. The corner ended in Alonzo Hermansson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but United's Sabahattin Erten did a great save. In the 25th minute of the match, Norberto Tiadoro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sabahattin Erten saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Melchor Tome's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sabahattin Erten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Oscar Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabahattin Erten having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Ortiz in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sabahattin Erten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute, Hong Hong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute Melchor Tome shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabahattin Erten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 minutes United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Horacio Petrigai who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Tome in the 47th minute of play forced United's goalkeeper Sabahattin Erten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

United's Sabahattin Erten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Tome in the 61st minute of play. Sabahattin Erten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Tome in the 64th minute of play. Joel Cristofor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Bela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sabahattin Erten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. If Melchor Tome had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. United's Arif Chian was substituted for Rolando Bela. Deportivo Kadorna made a substitution. Carl Beck replaced Norberto Tiadoro. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carl Beck in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Domingo Oinaz's late challenge caught a Deportivo Kadorna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingo Oinaz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Deportivo Kadorna booed when United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Oinaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, United's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Petrigai came free, but Sabahattin Erten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
