Sergio Goycochea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aitor Huenul, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the game, Angelino Bakar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MURO DE PIEDRA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Torero the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in MURO DE PIEDRA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 51st minute. Penalty!
