Sergio Goycochea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Musko in the 14th minute of play. Nicolás DAndrea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hílton Salles in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute Carmelo Musko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Goycochea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingmar Hellkvist hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Segundo Acosta from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Nicolás DAndrea's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Nicolás DAndrea made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Hílton Salles sent off a good shot on target. Carolo Lorenz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nicolás DAndrea came out and tried to block the shot, but Carolo Lorenz slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hílton Salles to make the kick off. After 95 played minutes El Torero got a freekick which was hit by Segundo Acosta. El Torero were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
