The audience thought a goal was coming when Hílton Salles got free with Andres Quinteros in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the game, Pildorita Timba Club's Julen Van Landschoot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergio Goycochea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Pildorita Timba Club were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after El Torero's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eduardo Beilinson took the corner. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hílton Salles to strike the kick off in the second half. Hílton Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carolo Lorenz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lico Veloso got free with Sergio Goycochea in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hílton Salles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andres Quinteros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Torero's goalkeeper Sergio Goycochea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pildorita Timba Club's Andres Quinteros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hílton Salles in the 62nd minute of play. Pildorita Timba Club's Marciano Hondo got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Augusto Mergildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sergio Goycochea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marciano Hondo in the 94th minute of play. When the match was over Pildorita Timba Club could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than El Torero throughout the match.
