Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Paublo in the 3rd minute of play forced Newell´s's goalkeeper Cristobal Estavan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fortuna's Tassos Kefalas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeo Jakobe in the 6th minute of play. Cristobal Estavan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Arotza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Fortuna's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Jakobe came free, but Tassos Kefalas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 played minutes Newell´s got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Ferrer. Newell´s's Cristobal Estavan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Newell´s from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Fortuna's Julian Paublo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristobal Estavan. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. Newell´s's Cristobal Estavan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Newell´s from getting a goal against them. Fortuna were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Newell´s's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edward Skarpiak took the corner. Tomás Lecanda thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Cristobal Estavan, a very annoying self made goal in the 22nd minute which led to 2-0. Newell´s's Cristobal Estavan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Arotza in the 25th minute of play. Tadeo Jakobe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tassos Kefalas having to interfere. Tassos Kefalas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Indiana Turban, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Cristobal Estavan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Paublo in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Julian Paublo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fortuna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Newell´s the free kick. Julian Paublo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Claudio Batista lost his temper 38 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fortuna! Indiana Turban shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Cristobal Estavan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Jayvier in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, Newell´s was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Lecanda to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

51 minutes into the match, Tadeo Jakobe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tassos Kefalas, 3-1. After 53 played minutes Fortuna got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Lordi. With a little luck, Fortuna's Tassos Kefalas got control of the ball when Tadeo Jakobe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Newell´s's Cristobal Estavan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir do Valle in the 58th minute of play. Indiana Turban was slow to take the kick. During this time Newell´s's players had a chance to rest. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Julian Paublo put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cristobal Estavan. In the 82nd minute Tadeo Jakobe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tassos Kefalas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristobal Estavan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Newell´s players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fortuna.
