Román Riquelme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Mate Cebo made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Inter Miami CF's Román Riquelme got a free kick in the 16th minute. With a little luck, Poca Vida F.C.'s Mate Cebo got control of the ball when Román Riquelme tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Román Riquelme got free with Mate Cebo in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Poca Vida F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Justo Montrel was slow to take the kick. During this time Inter Miami CF's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Inter Miami CF booed when Poca Vida F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chanasing Muanpong didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tonico Tinoco in the 44th minute of play forced Poca Vida F.C.'s goalkeeper Mate Cebo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erasmo Lekubegi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Mate Cebo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Cornelio Vistruario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mate Cebo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Fridman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mate Cebo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tonico Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
