The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 14th minute Teodoro Primo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Kaiet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute C. A. Atlanta were awarded a corner. Teodoro Primo went to the cornerflag to take it. Ain Hermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Tony Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Ruben Eufemio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, D1ego Plate's Ain Hermann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Guimarães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 27 minutes C. A. Atlanta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Evaristo Gaitano who took care of the corner kick. If Ain Hermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abelardo Kaiet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Sasoin in the 34th minute of the match. Tony Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ain Hermann in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by C. A. Atlanta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Evaristo Gaitano was slow to take the kick. During this time D1ego Plate's players had a chance to rest. Marciano Harriet was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 44 minutes into the match, D1ego Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Primo came free, but Abelardo Kaiet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Teodoro Primo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ain Hermann made a kick off. Ain Hermann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tony Guimarães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ain Hermann sped through C. A. Atlanta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tony Guimarães. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 72 played minutes D1ego Plate got a freekick which was hit by Justo Pacho. C. A. Atlanta made a substitution. Constantino Bertol replaced Teodoro Primo. Abelardo Kaiet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Sasoin in the 75th minute of the match. If Ain Hermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Ain Hermann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Guimarães was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Abelardo Kaiet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Orlan in the 92nd minute of the match. C. A. Atlanta's attack was well implemented in the 93rd minute, but when Elias Orlan was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. 95 minutes into the match, D1ego Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Sasoin came free, but Abelardo Kaiet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The C. A. Atlanta supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching D1ego Plate's performance. The match ended with a win for D1ego Plate.
