After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Jonathan Acuña managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pasion Roja's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Acuña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benigno Saturnin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. POETAS DEL CESPED's Benigno Saturnin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romano Ovando in the 21st minute of play. Romano Ovando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Benigno Saturnin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romano Ovando to make the kick off. Simon Diagur got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 90thth minute of the game Romano Ovando who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but POETAS DEL CESPED's Benigno Saturnin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benigno Saturnin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romano Ovando, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After having played for 95 minutes, Romano Ovando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pasion Roja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romano Ovando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 97th minute, Luis Liberto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the POETAS DEL CESPED players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pasion Roja.
