Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adan Galo in the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute of the match, Lorenzo Boni got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joaquin Lucero was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Arsenio Maria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Esteco booed when C.A.MALVINAS.ARG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Maidana didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Arsenio Maria managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's supporters rose to their feet, but Arsenio Maria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to C.A.MALVINAS.ARG getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Generoso Matai hit a great ball. Joaquin Lucero made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Jiří Petera sent off a good shot on target. C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's Joaquin Lucero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso in the 22nd minute of play. Ramos Delgado hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. When Wilfredo Maidana came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the C.A.MALVINAS.ARG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfredo Maidana couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arsenio Maria in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo saved Esteco from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arsenio Maria was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Wilfredo Maidana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Esteco's Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo got control of the ball when Arsenio Maria tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 94th minute, Arsenio Maria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The C.A.MALVINAS.ARG supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C.A.MALVINAS.ARG would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
