An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Nafarroa in the 7th minute of play forced Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Leonides Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonides Telesforo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Nafarroa in the 9th minute of play. In the 15th minute Lisandro Nafarroa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Telesforo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute of the match Fermin Montiel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andres Ariando skillfully saved the ball. Ahmet Kutsi Dirsehan came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Andres Ariando could save by the left post. 40 minutes into the match, Cable a Tierra's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Ekhi came free, but Leonides Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andres Ariando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Kutsi Dirsehan in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 86th match minute, Cable a Tierra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Quentin to maneuver through the defense. Teobaldo Montrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Telesforo having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Paolo Rafe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Telesforo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Monsalvo getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Marcelino Dalmai hit a great ball.
