Jonas Mingo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Gabriel Ibar made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Bahia's goal looked a bit too open when Nuralp Eracar came free, but Georgi Velinov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Bahia defense, Mark Bållström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georgi Velinov. The Bahia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georgi Velinov should have stopped the shot. Natalio Heriberto charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Natalio Heriberto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bahia's Georgi Velinov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Bållström in the 34th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Mark Bållström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Georgi Velinov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Georgi Velinov came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Florida United's Nuralp Eracar. But to his dismay, Nuralp Eracar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Bahia's Georgi Velinov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuralp Eracar in the 40th minute of play. When Florida United's Nuralp Eracar in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to Bahia getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Eduardo Cordarell hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Siro Pere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Georgi Velinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuralp Eracar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Natalio Heriberto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Georgi Velinov. The goal made the score 0-8. Bahia's Eduardo Cordarell got his second yellow card of the match in the 63rd minute. The referee ordered Eduardo Cordarell off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuralp Eracar in the 76th minute of play forced Bahia's goalkeeper Georgi Velinov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Georgi Velinov managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Florida United's Nuralp Eracar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Georgi Velinov stood somewhat misplaced when Nuralp Eracar came free in front of goal and shot 0-12 to the left of him in the 78 minute. Georgi Velinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Heriberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The attack was good, but when Nuralp Eracar in the 83rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Florida United's Natalio Heriberto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Georgi Velinov. That made the score 0-13 after 84 minutes of play. When Florida United's Nuralp Eracar in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bahia's goalie prevented a goal. Georgi Velinov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nuralp Eracar went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-14 was the resulting score. Georgi Velinov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mark Bållström in the 95th minute. In the 95th match minute, Bahia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Mingo to maneuver through the defense. Saverio Gaitano kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The Bahia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Florida United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
