Severo Vedillo took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Georgi Velinov. In the 33rd minute of the match Campbell got a corner. Bahia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After taking down the ball on Campbell's corner Fermin Pereyra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Georgi Velinov quite easily take care of the ball. Campbell's Diego Jaunzuria was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Georgi Velinov in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 78 minutes into the match, Campbell's Diego Jaunzuria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Georgi Velinov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Campbell booed when Bahia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximo Mogel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Campbell left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bahia.
