To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, Quilaquina AFC's goalkeeper Baldomiro Cibran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Imperiale. 22 minutes into the match, ESQUIU FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Semeno came free, but Isidro Pacho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 26 minutes, Justo Jurdan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ESQUIU FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justo Jurdan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Atilano Basualdo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
