A collision led to Club Atletico Comercio getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Marc Maller hit a great ball. Christian Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Gutierrez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gianluca Toranzo got free with Christian Tino in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Sportivo Desamparados's Saverio Gutierrez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Christian Tino. Christian Tino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Ferdinand Poenaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Başaran Mukremin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Sportivo Desamparados booed when Club Atletico Comercio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Silviano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Comercio's Melchor Firmin got a free kick in the 29th minute. Justino Dayam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Christian Tino made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Başaran Mukremin in the 35th minute of play forced Sportivo Desamparados's goalkeeper Ferdinand Poenaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Comercio's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Gutierrez came free, but Christian Tino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gianluca Toranzo made a kick off. Christian Tino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianluca Toranzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Saverio Gutierrez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Tino. Club Atletico Comercio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saverio Gutierrez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Sportivo Desamparados's Saverio Gutierrez got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Club Atletico Comercio fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Club Atletico Comercio's Abelardo Marquez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Christian Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Gutierrez in the 67th minute of play. Valentin Samuel kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Teobaldo Bazkoare got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Justino Dayam hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After 95 played minutes Club Atletico Comercio got a freekick which was hit by Marc Maller. Gianluca Toranzo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Tino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Club Atletico Comercio's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
