Despite this Maximino Patrido quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 16 minutes into the match, PANAMERICANO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Jenaro came free, but Alfonso Gerazan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pilar's Maximino Patrido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliézer Ben Yehuda in the 18th minute of play. Alfonso Gerazan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shaun Barrera in the 22nd minute of the match. Osi Pratto came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Maximino Patrido could save by the left post. In the 35th minute, Oscar Cortez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osi Pratto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mateo Gaufred hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eliézer Ben Yehuda to make the kick off. Miguel Galindo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Gerazan having to interfere. Honorato Jenaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Alfonso Gerazan made a huge save. After having played for 68 minutes, Shaun Barrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pilar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shaun Barrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliézer Ben Yehuda struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Maximino Patrido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PANAMERICANO FC. Pilar's Lesli Arteaga was substituted for Cyryl Buczak. When Miguel Galindo came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Pilar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Galindo couldn't finish the play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
