After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Rigoberto Turi managed to get in a good position for a shot. LA MAQUINA F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Turi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genaro Sindo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. LA MAQUINA F.C's Loco Borja got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Genaro Sindo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Alberto Pernambucano in the 9th minute. The audience was convinced that Dario Benedetto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Higinio Porfiro was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. When La Cienaga's Dario Benedetto in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LA MAQUINA F.C's goalie prevented a goal. 26 minutes into the match, LA MAQUINA F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Botello came free, but Higinio Porfiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Valentin Makovskiy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Genaro Sindo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Loco Borja in the 29th minute. After 31 played minutes LA MAQUINA F.C got a freekick which was hit by Loco Borja. Loco Borja's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Genaro Sindo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. If Dario Benedetto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 played minutes La Cienaga got a freekick which was hit by Radamel-Falcao García. Dario Benedetto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Porfiro having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, La Cienaga's goal looked a bit too open when Loco Borja came free, but Genaro Sindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Higinio Porfiro came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by La Cienaga's Alonzo Botello. But to his dismay, Alonzo Botello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dario Benedetto was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alonzo Botello got free with Higinio Porfiro in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Pernambucano in the 56th minute of play forced La Cienaga's goalkeeper Genaro Sindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute Carlos Alberto Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Sindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Porfiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonzo Botello in the 63rd minute of play. La Cienaga's Genaro Sindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Turi in the 64th minute of play. Loco Borja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Sindo having to interfere. LA MAQUINA F.C made a substitution. Higinio Romero replaced Isidoro Playo. LA MAQUINA F.C's Bohuslav Plachetka was substituted for Santo Colas. Genaro Sindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Turi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Botello in the 73rd minute of play forced LA MAQUINA F.C's goalkeeper Higinio Porfiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquilino Gartzea got a throw-in 74 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jacinto Mincho. Loco Borja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 77 minutes of play LA MAQUINA F.C's Valentin Makovskiy was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The crowd rose to their feet as La Cienaga's Dario Benedetto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Higinio Porfiro. That made the score 0-3 after 80 minutes of play. The throw-in from Aquilino Gartzea in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by LA MAQUINA F.C's Sokol Gyurkovski. After having played for 85 minutes, Carlos Alberto Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA MAQUINA F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Alberto Pernambucano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of LA MAQUINA F.C booed when La Cienaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Loco Borja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genaro Sindo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Loco Borja's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Carlos Alberto Pernambucano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, LA MAQUINA F.C's Higinio Porfiro got control of the ball when Jacinto Mincho tried to sneak it across the goal line.
