The audience was convinced that Atilano Cesario's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel Asteri was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Atilano Cesario got free with Samuel Asteri in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Gilberto Eleazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atilano Cesario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Asteri having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eurico Lima in the 41st minute of play forced Club Atlético Munro's goalkeeper Iker Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 42 minutes into the game, when Jonathan Rivero put in a rough tackle. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Iker Navas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Volvimos mejores booed when Club Atlético Munro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Long Ang Le didn't get a good kick on the ball.
