The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Sumampa FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Silverio Barea hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sumampa FC's zone, Kasper Ververs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Vellito came out of the goal and Kasper Ververs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wayne Rooney in the 9th minute of play forced &La vieja Guardia&'s goalkeeper Fidel Teofilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sumampa FC's Marcial Vellito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasper Ververs in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Teobaldo Camerino notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of &La vieja Guardia&'s Fidel Teofilio. Fidel Teofilio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th minute Kasper Ververs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Vellito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fidel Teofilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wayne Rooney in the 19th minute of the match. A hard shot 22 in the game by Kasper Ververs from a close distance when the talented Marcial Vellito managed to make a qualified save. Sumampa FC's players were relieved. After 26 played minutes &La vieja Guardia& got a freekick which was hit by Alto Porro. In the 27th minute Wayne Rooney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Teofilio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fidel Teofilio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wayne Rooney in the 27th minute of play. Kasper Ververs scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcial Vellito, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kasper Ververs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcial Vellito having to make a save. Fidel Teofilio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 倪鸿渊, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Fidel Teofilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 倪鸿渊 in the 36th minute of the match. Marcelino Crispo hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Kasper Ververs struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Marcial Vellito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for &La vieja Guardia&. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kasper Ververs to make the kick off. In the 50th minute, Omar Otsando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 54 minutes, Kasper Ververs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. &La vieja Guardia&'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Kasper Ververs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fidel Teofilio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 倪鸿渊, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kasper Ververs in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcial Vellito saved Sumampa FC from getting behind. Alvaro Arotza kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. &La vieja Guardia&'s Conrado Bartolome was substituted for Genaro Aritza. In the 66th minute, Alvaro Arotza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelino Crispo's late challenge caught a &La vieja Guardia&'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelino Crispo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sumampa FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Marcelino Crispo hit a great ball. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by &La vieja Guardia&'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pablo Quattrocchi was slow to take the kick. During this time Sumampa FC's players had a chance to rest. Marcial Vellito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kang Han Zhen, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sumampa FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edelmiro Tartalo was slow to take the kick. During this time &La vieja Guardia&'s players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Conrado Bartolome got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcial Vellito quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kasper Ververs in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcial Vellito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Kasper Ververs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 92 minutes of play, &La vieja Guardia&'s Kasper Ververs made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcial Vellito was left in no man's land by his defense there! &La vieja Guardia&'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
