Athletic Bostero's Cecilio Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pompiliu Ciutacu in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Athletic Bostero's Liu Yuan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Cordairo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Athletic Bostero's Liu Yuan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Liu Yuan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Cordairo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match Athletic Bostero got a corner. Copetonas AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ralph Spaan ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Copetonas AFC's Marcelo Cordairo got control of the ball when Liu Yuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pompiliu Ciutacu was the one to do the kick off. Athletic Bostero were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Copetonas AFC for a fine match.
