The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Rawson F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Theobald came free, but Benjamin Gombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. István Détári made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eulalio Cresencio in the 7th minute. Benjamin Gombal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Theobald's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Hugo van der Struijk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buenos y Malos Ayres's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo van der Struijk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Gombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes into the match, Rawson F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Theobald came free, but Benjamin Gombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Buenos y Malos Ayres were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Rawson F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vasco Olarticoechea took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Danilo Dubardo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rawson F.C's goalkeeper Benjamin Gombal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Paulo Theobald ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Gombal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Buenos y Malos Ayres's Paulo Theobald in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 29th minute Paulo Theobald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Gombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rawson F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vasco Olarticoechea was slow to take the kick. During this time Buenos y Malos Ayres's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Joel Jacindo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benjamin Gombal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Jacindo in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamin Gombal saved Rawson F.C from getting behind. The corner led Buenos y Malos Ayres's Vasco Olarticoechea to fire away a dangerous shot which Benjamin Gombal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 44th minute, Danilo Dubardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Gombal came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Buenos y Malos Ayres's Joel Jacindo. But to his dismay, Joel Jacindo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Theobald made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Theobald got free with Benjamin Gombal in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benjamin Gombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Palmkvist in the 56th minute of the match. Benjamin Gombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo van der Struijk in the 57th minute of play. Buenos y Malos Ayres's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vasco Olarticoechea in the 61st minute. With his leg Benjamin Gombal managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Buenos y Malos Ayres's Paulo Theobald fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Buenos y Malos Ayres made a substitution. Arnulfo Beltran replaced Paulo Theobald. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Arnulfo Beltran put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Benjamin Gombal. Arnulfo Beltrans short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Benjamin Gombal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Arnulfo Beltran did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Benjamin Gombal 82 minutes into the match. When Buenos y Malos Ayres's Arnulfo Beltran in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Benjamin Gombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Beltran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. István Détári made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Pepillo in the 94th minute of play. Arnulfo Beltran scored 0-6 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamin Gombal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
