With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anastasio Etxeberri in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Calvino saved Atlético Villa Gesell from getting behind. Dario Bingen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres Grabiel having to interfere. In the 19th minute Paulo Rudolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Grabiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 minutes of play, Atlético Villa Gesell's Dario Bingen made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
