When Filiberto Celio fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villa Del Plata's protests and gave Filiberto Celio a yellow card for diving instead. Filiberto Celio kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Mauricio Leobardo came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Oberá AFC's Karim Giroud. But to his dismay, Karim Giroud quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Oberá AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Oscar Jakes scored to the left of an out of position Nicolas Lamberto, making the score, 1-1. After 13 played minutes Oberá AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Hurko. In the 15th match minute, Villa Del Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Gil to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute Karim Giroud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Leobardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Loiola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauricio Leobardo. Villa Del Plata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ubaldo Loiola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Filiberto Celio hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Villa Del Plata's Mauricio Leobardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Loiola in the 25th minute of play. When Oberá AFC's Karim Giroud in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Villa Del Plata's goalie prevented a goal. Mauricio Leobardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleftherios Lallos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Karim Giroud made a precise shot to the right of Mauricio Leobardo. Villa Del Plata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 38 minutes into the match, Aaron Hurko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauricio Leobardo. Villa Del Plata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aaron Hurko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Aaron Hurko succeeded in the game's 44th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-5. After the first half Oberá AFC were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aaron Hurko in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauricio Leobardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Serafin Bastiaro fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villa Del Plata's protests and gave Serafin Bastiaro a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes Villa Del Plata got a freekick which was hit by Serafin Bastiaro. Mauricio Leobardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karim Giroud in the 53rd minute. Serafin Bastiaro hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The Oberá AFC fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Oberá AFC's Aaron Hurko looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Villa Del Plata's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Eleftherios Lallos 60 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-7. Serafin Bastiaro kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Eleftherios Lallos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauricio Leobardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Villa Del Plata's Teo Phelipe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicolas Lamberto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-7. In the 70th match minute, Oberá AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Hurko to maneuver through the defense. Mauricio Leobardo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 74th minute, which inside left pole to 2-8. In the 79th minute of the match Erubiel Elorri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauricio Leobardo skillfully saved the ball. In the 81st minute, Ubaldo Baraquiel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauricio Leobardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-9. The crowd rose to their feet as Oberá AFC's Ubaldo Loiola slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mauricio Leobardo. That made the score 2-10 after 85 minutes of play. The supporters of Oberá AFC booed when Villa Del Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Gil didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Del Plata's zone, Ferdinand Budianu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauricio Leobardo came out of the goal and Ferdinand Budianu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Villa Del Plata fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Oberá AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
