With a little luck, ATYLAS FC's Orlando Mercurio got control of the ball when Constantino Toro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 5th minute, Nestor Haritz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odon Saena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When David Floreanu fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ATYLAS FC's protests and gave David Floreanu a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes ATYLAS FC got a freekick which was hit by David Floreanu. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Floreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, ATYLAS FC's goalkeeper Orlando Mercurio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nilton Melo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Toro in the 29th minute of play forced ATYLAS FC's goalkeeper Orlando Mercurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ermegildo Rosio hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The supporters of ATYLAS FC booed when Lugano 1 y 2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Cidro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-1 when David Floreanu sped through Lugano 1 y 2's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcelo Barovero. After some careless play in the Lugano 1 y 2 defense, Ermegildo Rosio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Barovero. The Lugano 1 y 2 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Barovero should have stopped the shot. 44 minutes into the game, David Floreanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Marcelo Barovero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Constantino Toro's late challenge caught a ATYLAS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Constantino Toro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ATYLAS FC booed when Lugano 1 y 2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Toro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Floreanu was the one to do the kick off. ATYLAS FC's Orlando Mercurio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Quintin in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Toro in the 55th minute of play forced ATYLAS FC's goalkeeper Orlando Mercurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orlando Mercurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daren McCollum in the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Marcelino Cidro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Lugano 1 y 2's goal looked a bit too open when Milton Casco came free, but Marcelo Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If David Floreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermegildo Rosio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Marcelo Barovero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute of the match Lugano 1 y 2 got a corner. ATYLAS FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nestor Haritz ran over to the corner to take the kick. 75 minutes into the match, Fermin Quintin notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of ATYLAS FC's Orlando Mercurio. Orlando Mercurio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Rosio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Milton Casco notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Lugano 1 y 2's Marcelo Barovero. Marcelo Barovero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Milton Casco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Marcelo Barovero made a huge save. ATYLAS FC played a much better game than Lugano 1 y 2 and deserved their victory. The Lugano 1 y 2 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
