The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lugano 1 y 2's Jacindo Basanguren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Ospetsu in the 2nd minute of play. If Constantino Toro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7thth minute of the game Constantino Toro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frontera VC's Lino Remicio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Constantino Toro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacindo Basanguren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolo Ospetsu in the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Silverio Bertol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19thth minute of the game Constantino Toro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frontera VC's Lino Remicio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Paulino Bonifaco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacindo Basanguren. Lugano 1 y 2's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulino Bonifaco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Lugano 1 y 2's Fermin Quintin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lino Remicio. That made the score 1-1 after 26 minutes of play. Jacindo Basanguren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Przemyslaw Bejgier in the 29th minute of play. Frontera VC were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Lugano 1 y 2's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juliusz Szpakowski took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Tomás Telo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jacindo Basanguren quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Silverio Bertol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacindo Basanguren having to interfere. Jacindo Basanguren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolo Ospetsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the game, Bartolo Ospetsu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jacindo Basanguren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Constantino Toro in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lino Remicio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nestor Haritz charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nestor Haritz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lugano 1 y 2:s Jacindo Basanguren showed great skill when he stopped Juliusz Szpakowski:s penalty. Juliusz Szpakowski took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacindo Basanguren. Jacindo Basanguren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The Lugano 1 y 2 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Frontera VC were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bartolo Ospetsu to make the kick off. Lino Remicio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Toro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
