Club Real Cantera's Gaudencio Frichoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martín Palermo in the 31st minute of play. Timoteo Gorosti made in the 36th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Leopoldo Itzaina immediately put the ball in play. Martín Palermo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaudencio Frichoso having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Metal Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Phelipe came free, but Daniel Păvăloae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herminio Lano made in the 43rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Metal Juniors's Gervasio Favila. After 95 minutes of play, Metal Juniors's Sergio Dennis made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaudencio Frichoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Club Real Cantera's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
