Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Francis in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeo Vistruario prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute, Bonifacio Suarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute Marek Haszczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Miguel Prosperi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Vistruario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amadeo Vistruario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Prosperi, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cepicó FC's zone, Eber Melivilu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeo Vistruario came out of the goal and Eber Melivilu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Miguel Prosperi sped through Cepicó FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amadeo Vistruario. Cepicó FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mauricio Cuero in the 31st minute. Cepicó FC's Andrzej Olchawa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Branislav Velchevski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 33 minutes into the match, Cepicó FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Dalmu came free, but Amadeo Vistruario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Bonifacio Suarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elpidio Francis made a kick off. Amadeo Vistruario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Dalmu in the 51st minute of play. Cepicó FC's Amadeo Vistruario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Francis in the 54th minute of play. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cepicó FC. Cepicó FC:s Amadeo Vistruario showed great skill when he stopped Elpidio Francis:s penalty. 95 minutes into the match, Cepicó FC's Americo Raitin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Branislav Velchevski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bonifacio Suarez hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
