The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oso Ted blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Neron having to make a save. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Abel Neron, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adolfo Poz got a throw-in 11 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Bonifacio Petrigai. Adolfo Poz kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Abel Neron came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s Fabian Urdaspal. But to his dismay, Fabian Urdaspal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 24 minutes Deportivo Balvanera's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Oso Ted who took care of the corner kick. Oso Ted made a great header on Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s corner, it was just that Deportivo Balvanera's Abel Neron managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 26th minute Marciano Koldobika shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Basajaun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Deportivo Balvanera's Lisandro López nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armando Basajaun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Lisandro López sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Urdaspal in the 42nd minute of play forced Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Abel Neron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diego Milito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Fabian Urdaspal put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Abel Neron. Armando Basajaun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Koldobika, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isaac Dayam hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the game, Severiano Taurino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Balvanera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cartero de Agronomia F.C. the free kick. A collision led to Deportivo Balvanera getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Severiano Taurino hit a great ball. Cartero de Agronomia F.C. made a substitution. Evaristo Errando replaced Vinicio Zaki. Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s Teofilo Maidana was substituted for Fabian Urdaspal. Deportivo Balvanera's Ramiro Quin was substituted for Bonifacio Petrigai. A collision led to Deportivo Balvanera getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Severiano Taurino hit a great ball. Candido Jakes kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Teofilo Maidana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abel Neron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Teofilo Maidana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Neron was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. In the 77th minute, Teofilo Maidana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cartero de Agronomia F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Maidana in the 80th minute of play forced Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Abel Neron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Milito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Armando Basajaun made a huge save. In the 89th minute, one of Deportivo Balvanera:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Deportivo Balvanera. Abel Neron had in the 91stth minute some difficulties stopping Jaime Xavier's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Abel Neron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Maidana, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Abel Neron came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s Teofilo Maidana. But to his dismay, Teofilo Maidana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cartero de Agronomia F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Deportivo Balvanera had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
