When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pablo Solari made a kick off. Cecilio Jax didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dževad Kasimović went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Paulino Lamberto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filiberto Oso having to make a save. Filiberto Oso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartolo Harkaitz in the 81st minute. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Pablo Solari sped through San Martin de Tucuman's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cecilio Jax. Cecilio Jax took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Solari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cecilio Jax showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dževad Kasimović in the 90th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in San Martin de Tucuman's zone, Pablo Solari stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Jax came out of the goal and Pablo Solari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. San Martin de Tucuman's Luciano Selmo was substituted for Paulino Lamberto.
