After having played for 5 minutes, Kunnar Väärtnõu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Gallo de Moron's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kunnar Väärtnõu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinand Hohenzollern came free, but Cecilio Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. El Gallo de Moron's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valentin Ferrando in the 9th minute. Valentin Ferrando made a great header on El Gallo de Moron's corner, it was just that Talleres's Cecilio Lastur managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, El Gallo de Moron's Aldo Rico got a free kick in the 12th minute. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Andrzej Badanowski put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Johnny Gobillot. Talleres's Cecilio Lastur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Talleres from getting a goal against them. Cecilio Lastur came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by El Gallo de Moron's Fidel Ortzi. But to his dismay, Fidel Ortzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Cecilio Lastur made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Fidel Ortzi sent off a good shot on target. Talleres's Sergiu Bulencea quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aldo Rico, made in the 26th minute of the game. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Talleres's goalkeeper Cecilio Lastur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jorge Martínez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Gallo de Moron were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Talleres's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Valentin Ferrando took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Kunnar Väärtnõu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Fidel Ortzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cecilio Lastur having to make a save. Peker Durusoy lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave El Gallo de Moron a penalty, 50 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ferdinand Hohenzollern, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Talleres's Cecilio Lastur. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adriano Planovskiy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute Ferdinand Hohenzollern shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Lastur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinand Hohenzollern came free, but Cecilio Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldo Gonza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Gobillot having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Talleres's Andrzej Badanowski got a free kick in the 72nd minute. El Gallo de Moron's Rios Ferdinand was substituted for Bernardino Quintin. After having played for 74 minutes, Rios Ferdinand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Gallo de Moron's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rios Ferdinand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cecilio Lastur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Hohenzollern in the 85th minute of play. After 99 played minutes Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Martínez.
