When Ubaldo Gonzales came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Cavallino Rampante II fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Gonzales couldn't finish the play. Ernesto Fe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorato Kauldi in the 17th minute of play. Augusto Ellande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Gonzales in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Honorato Kauldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Fe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mercedes's zone, Ivo Oja stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Ellande came out of the goal and Ivo Oja tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquin Matai hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Geovanni Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mercedes's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovanni Carioca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Fe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the match, Cavallino Rampante II's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Morais came free, but Ernesto Fe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ubaldo Gonzales in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augusto Ellande saved Mercedes from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Abar in the 31st minute of play forced Cavallino Rampante II's goalkeeper Ernesto Fe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Cavallino Rampante II defense, Alvaro Abar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernesto Fe. The Cavallino Rampante II fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Fe should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Mercedes's Augusto Ellande got control of the ball when Ubaldo Gonzales tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorato Kauldi in the 47th minute of play forced Cavallino Rampante II's goalkeeper Ernesto Fe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mercedes's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
