The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Simbo FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Nicolas Perrando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miliano Sacristán, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The supporters of Simbo FC booed when EL CORTO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Lehior didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 played minutes EL CORTO FC got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Sustrai. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Miliano Sacristán managed to get in a good position for a shot. Simbo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Miliano Sacristán was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Perrando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicolas Perrando stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miliano Sacristán's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. 36 minutes into the match, EL CORTO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miliano Sacristán came free, but Nicolas Perrando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolas Perrando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miliano Sacristán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Simbo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tonhão Basso came free, but Mías Khalifa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tonhão Basso in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mías Khalifa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute, Javier Lehior hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miliano Sacristán took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicolas Perrando. Nicolas Perrando dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The EL CORTO FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Simbo FC were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tincho Palermo made a kick off. After 53rd play minutes Tincho Palermo shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Nicolas Perrando and just under the crossbar into goal. Wolf-Rüdiger Wipp lost his temper 83 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. One of EL CORTO FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Simbo FC:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Kauldi in the 88th minute of play forced Simbo FC's goalkeeper Mías Khalifa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, EL CORTO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Sancho came free, but Nicolas Perrando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Simbo FC's goalkeeper Mías Khalifa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Simbo FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Simbo FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
