The corner led Lyons's Wambasther Piqué to fire away a dangerous shot which Amado Gamus despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After taking down the ball on Caricancha's corner Victor Giraldo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luisito Quinten quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dariusz Roano in the 95th minute of play forced Caricancha's goalkeeper Amado Gamus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lyons had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
