Filiberto Kinsen started the match with the kick off. Manuel Neuer came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by AbraXas's Júnior Orlan. But to his dismay, Júnior Orlan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Felix Leoiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Puch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jake Hursey got free with Felix Leoiar in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute of the match Lanús got a corner. AbraXas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jake Hursey ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Lanús's corner Roberto Puch fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Felix Leoiar quite easily take care of the ball. If Filiberto Kinsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Neuer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júnior Orlan in the 21st minute of the match. Manuel Neuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Orlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 23 minutes into the game, when Jonathan Chien-Kwan put in a rough tackle. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lanús! 24 minutes into the game, Júnior Orlan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Manuel Neuer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maximiliano Gilabert struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Manuel Neuer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AbraXas. A sloppy throw-in by Cesar Haitz in the 28th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Lanús's Jake Hursey. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind AbraXas's goalkeeper Felix Leoiar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Júnior Orlan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AbraXas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Jake Hursey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Felix Leoiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ladislao Barros to make the kick off. Manuel Neuer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Gilabert in the 53rd minute of the match. A hard shot 58 in the game by Júnior Orlan from a close distance when the talented Manuel Neuer managed to make a qualified save. Lanús's players were relieved. When Cesar Haitz, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 61 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Manuel Neuer was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Orlan in the 64th minute of play forced Lanús's goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júnior Orlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Manuel Neuer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as AbraXas's Júnior Orlan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manuel Neuer. That made the score 0-4 after 83 minutes of play. In the 92nd minute, Jake Hursey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Lanús's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Orlan came free, but Manuel Neuer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AbraXas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
