With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romulo Casado in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Fernando Navarro Montoya saved STARK F.C. from getting behind. If Romulo Casado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlos Fernando Navarro Montoya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Casado, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. A throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game was made by Cleto Uzuri with Alvaro Eusko as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Serafin Atarrabi's late challenge caught a River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. River Plate walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
