Balnearia's Emilio Tartalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Sancho in the 26th minute of play. Damian Frantzes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Máté Márton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Frantzes in the 29th minute of play forced Congo Bongo's goalkeeper Máté Márton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Tugay Özyurek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máté Márton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emilio Tartalo having to make a save. In the 45th minute, Jónatan Maidana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. But to his dismay, Damaso Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Balnearia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
