The throw-in from Çağrı Oruz in the 4th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Deportivo Mukenio's Jairo Aurre. Deportivo Mukenio's Ismael Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Co Kac in the 6th minute of play. Florentino Marino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aziz Akarsu's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Juan Palos's late challenge caught a Deportivo Mukenio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Palos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Juan Palos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aziz Akarsu in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentino Marino saved Sakura FC from getting behind. A throw-in in the 15th minute of the game was made by Çağrı Oruz with Co Kac as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Deportivo Mukenio's Ismael Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Co Kac in the 18th minute of play. Florentino Marino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aziz Akarsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute of the match, Aziz Akarsu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Florentino Marino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 29 played minutes Sakura FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Cordarin. Florentino Marino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aziz Akarsu in the 31st minute. After 32 played minutes Deportivo Mukenio got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Rius. In the 33rd minute Co Kac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Gimenez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mircea Buciuceanu came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Deportivo Mukenio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mircea Buciuceanu couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dušan Vlahović made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dušan Vlahović in the 54th minute of play forced Deportivo Mukenio's goalkeeper Ismael Gimenez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florentino Marino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aziz Akarsu in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aziz Akarsu in the 59th minute of play forced Sakura FC's goalkeeper Florentino Marino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Sakura FC's goalkeeper Florentino Marino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Sakura FC booed when Deportivo Mukenio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Aurre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sakura FC's Norberto Abechuco was substituted for Teodoro Guillelme. A collision led to Sakura FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Godofredo Valentine hit a great ball. Artemio Jakes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Gimenez having to interfere. The supporters of Deportivo Mukenio booed when Sakura FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Valentine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramon Rius hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Dušan Vlahović reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ismael Gimenez. The goal made the score 0-1. In the 90th minute Aziz Akarsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Marino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sakura FC's goalkeeper Florentino Marino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Sakura FC's Dušan Vlahović ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ismael Gimenez. Ismael Gimenez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sakura FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
