The corner was taken by Danilo Sanchez in the 4th minute. Guanacos's Danilo Sanchez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Feliciano Horado in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Guanacos booed when Düsseldorf FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ziemowit Czerwinski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute of the match Danilo Sanchez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Feliciano Horado skillfully saved the ball. After 8 played minutes Guanacos got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Clemencin. After a rather tough play, Guanacos's Ricardo Ekaitz got a free kick in the 16th minute. Paulo Pierres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Feliciano Horado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Paulo Pierres notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Düsseldorf FC's Feliciano Horado.
